Palakkad Pravasi Association of Kuwait celebrated Ponnonam-2016 on Friday, September 30th at Indian Central School, Abbasiya. Palpak president Aravindakshan chaired the inaugural session and poet Kureepuzha Sreekuimar inaugurated the event. General Secretary Sivadas Vazhayil, Supreme Council Member Dili, PN Kumar, ladies wing general convener Sreelekha Sasidharan, special guests Sam Pynammood and Sharaffuddeen Kanneth addressed the audience.

During the inauguration, Palpak announced the charity project in Palakkad government hospital to sponsor a fully equipped pediatric ward. A brief on the project was given by Charity Secretary Sakeer Hussain and Media Secretary Suresh Pulikkal. On the occasion, souvenir was released by handing over a copy by Sam Pynummood to Supreme Council member Krishnakumar. Earlier, welcome address was given by the program convener Anoop Manghat. Treasurer Sreehari cast the vote of thanks.

Hundreds of PALPAK ladies presented a mass thiriuvathira first time in Kuwait that was a highlight and eyecatching. The programs started at 10.00 a.m. with cultural programs followed by the orchestra Led by the young talents Aslam and Reshma, traditional Onam feast also was served.
