If taxi people follow the rules, it will be good for both customers and taxi people.

We are poor expats. For we low & middle salary earners, the salaries are improper, improper increments, improper rents. We cannot run with price rises. Now the taxies tax us, buses hiss at us, markets corner us. We do not want our vallets to be squeezed, and thereby our families depending on us either here or in our countries. Dear Authorities Concerned! Let's think with scientific reasoning.

Taxis meters are not updated. For example when I go in my regular taxi , salmiya to shuwaikh is less than 1 kid on the meter. When I went in a 2016 licensed taxi the fare was 2.250. My regular taxi tells me that unlike Dubai the rates are not updated for any taxi so they resort to increased prices than those shown on the meter. So if the authorities are serious they should update meters along with renewal of registration

Taxi drivers use meter only to show but they are asking more than the meter rate. I once travlled to one place it shows 1 kd but he asked 2 kd. Than who will help us.proper laws should be followed to stop this. If we give complaint against taxi drivers who will listen here.. Now kuwait is becoming high cost of living country.

To be clear make a rule that all taxi driver should put on meter once any passenger sit on it. make it simple like UAE how organised the taxi system is. here each taxi driver is having different rate.
make it compulsory to put meter in every taxi and everybody should follow it.

The increase in bus fares are irrational.

Previuosly from Fahaheel to Kuwait city and back used to cost me fils 600, if i used my car it used to cost me fils 650. So to avoid traffic i travelled t many times by public transport.

But now by bus will cost me KD 1.200 and by my car it will be KD 1.050.

this will force me to use my car and increase the road traffic.

best for the taxi is to go by meter, as of now is the trend to fix the amount before than travel, it would be better to go by meter
as we have in india, no bargaining just sit , give address, arrive at location and pay as per metter ,,,,,,, bat khalas

It was reported that there will not be any hike in fares, but it is done against their promises. Also please note that the minimum fare for the buses must be 100 fils. For example if somebody wanted to go from one stop to the next stop, he must not be charged 200 fils. Fare from airport is too much. Now people will rely more on the newly introduced airport bus. They charge 1 kd only from airpost to Fahaheel.
