Ahmadi Water Village inaugurated

The new Water Village established in Al-Ahmadi Governorate contributes to efforts to promote domestic tourism, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Sabah said on Wednesday.

Sheikh Salman made the statement to reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the village.
The project is the outcome of efforts exerted by the Ministry of Information, the Kuwait TV and the tourism sector, in collaboration with civil society organizations and the private sector, the minister added.

The village, supported by Al-Ahmadi Governorate, aims to help youth spend their leisure in useful activities.

Meanwhile, Al-Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Fawaz Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah highly appreciated Sheikh Salman's support to the project. He noted that tourism is a pillar of development and economy, noting that the governorate supports all activities aiming to boost the industry. The village, built on the coast south of the country, includes games for youth and children, in addition to a security checkpoint and a clinic.
