Palakkad Pravasi Association of Kuwait celebrated its Arts Day as Chembai Kalotsavam-2016 a full day event in a colorful manner at Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS) on Friday, 22nd April, 2016. Its Members and children performed various cultural segments which included classical and cinematic dances (group and solo), light music, mappilapattukal, oppana, naadan pattu, fancy dress, skits etc. The program was organized to promote the gifted talents of PALPAK members and their children. Mementos and certificates were awarded to all the participants and program was wonderful and a large crowd enjoyed it.

At the inaugural session in the morning, Mr. Anoop Manghat, Program Convener and Arts Secretary made the welcome speech and the event was inaugurated by the chief guest Mr. Suresh Tholambra, the famous drama director and Kerala Sahitya Acadamy Award winner. President Mr. Aravindakshan addressed the audience. General Secretary Mr. Sivadas Vazhayil presented the brief activity report of PALPAK. Mr. Suresh Madhavan, Vice President and Mrs. Sreelekha Sasidharan, Ladies Wing Convener made the felicitation speech. The chief guest Mr. Suresh Tholambra was given a special felicitation with a memento and ponnada by the Supreme Council Members Mr. PN Kumar, Mr. Dili, Mr. TM Mohan and Mr. Naraynan. Treasurer Mr. Sreehari cast the vote of thanks.
