Brazilian Boys clinched the first 7-a-side football tournament beating Skynet Miracles S.C 3-0 in the finals played on Friday 1st April 2016 at Bayan Grounds. Kuwait.
The one-day tournament was organized by “Providence Group” in aid of ‘Jeevdaya’ – an orphanage centre based in Nandanhalli, Mysore, Karnataka.
Brazilian Boys beat a number of strong teams on their way to the final including a strong UFC Mangaf in the semi-final. In the finals, Brazilian Boys scored through Prajot Naik (2 goals) and Anthony Rego. Skynet Miracles played an excellent tournament as well but could not match the Winners in the final.
Fr. Franco Pereira was chief guest and spoke on the occasion. Mr. Ali Asgar was the guest of honor.
Providence Group head Mr. Austin Abreo, while congratulating the winners and thanking all the participating teams and guests, duly acknowledged the support of all sponsors and friends who made the tournament successful.
Matches were officiated by Rosario Colaco, Philip Coutinho, Mr. Rafiq,Mr. Kenedy,Mr. Jimmy, etc.
Gasper Crasto compered the event; DJ Cheslee D’Souza provided the sound and Mr. Laurance Miranda was capturing the events in his lense.

Providence Group, founded in 2016, aims in serving the needy back home in India. The organization is led by Mr. Austin Abreo and supported by like-minded people such as Domnic Pereira, Marshall Fernandes, Steven Sequeira, Jinu Kurian, Robert Bernard, etc.

JEEVDAYA – A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Jeevdaya Orphanage Centre based in Nandanhalli, Mysore, Karnataka – India is run by the “Somascan Sisters” (Ursuline Sisters of Somasca) providing assistance to needy, street children and the abused.
The centre also promotes educational activities and medical rehabitilation for girls especially for orphans and children coming from underprivileged families irrespective of religion, race, community or social status.
