The Manpower Public Authority is considering to allow the transfer of visas of expatriates on government contracts without the sponsor’s approval. The transfers would only be allowed in specific cases, reports Kuwait Times daily.
The conditions needed for a laborer to transfer his or her visa from one government contract to another without the sponsor’s approval is having the laborer file a labor dispute complaint that the contract tenure is concluded; making sure the employer does not need the laborer and paying a transfer fee of KD 300.
