Strict traffic checking helps in reducing traffic accidents

Monday, March 21, 2016

The new amendment which was issued through a ministerial decree which calls for withdrawal of driving licence and gives right for the General Traffic Department to impound the vehicle for two months from motorists who are careless and do not comply with safety regulations has greatly contributed to the reduction in traffic accidents, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a security source.

One of the serious violations committed by the motorists is the use of cell phone while driving. The daily added, if a person is caught speaking on the phone while driving he/she will be charged with using the phone while driving which is a violation and not paying attention to the road. In this event the traffic police have been given the authority to confiscate the licence and impound the vehicle for two months.

Ohh really..??!! how eaxctly is that possible..?? as majority of the traffic accidents r caused by kuwaiti motorists whom, as we can see are above the law.. the strict rules r meant for expats "without" wasta.. the security crackdowns had been going on for the past few years and recently amidst the extensive security crackdown thru the "so called" 702 checkpoints across the country was on going on a full fledged scale, thats wen the mosque bombing happened !! maybe u shud rethink ur priorities.. and know that enemies of the state lies mostly within itself.. if u were serious about the demographic issues, u cud hav controlled the expat population easily by stopping visas for all or except for a few categories.. but instead.. u dont stop the visas, u dont give any kind of mercy or a chance for illegal residents to flee the country (amnesty period was not given in couple of years), the visa trade is still full on.. conversion of domestic visa is not possible.. no rule for the protection of domestic workers.. if a domestic worker runs out of the sponsors house bcoz of torture and humiliation and seek the help of law, its most likely that the victim gets tortured again and mostly be deported by authorities..!!
where are the human right? arent expats, specially the domestic workers not considered humans ?
