17,000 Indians are on temporary residence in Kuwait

IIK Staff Reporter Monday, March 21, 2016

The total Indian population in Kuwait reaches 8,80,567 according to the latest statistics published by the Directorate General for residency affairs.

Majority of Indians are working on private sector on article no 18. 4,26,494 Indians are working on private sector in Kuwait while 17,929 Indians are on temporary residence (Article 14). 27,624 Indians are working in Government sector on article 17.

2,98,691 Indians are working on domestic sector in article no 20. Kuwait has stopped issuing domestic visa to Indians since last September 2015.

109733 Indians are on dependents visa while 11 Indians are on education visa in Kuwait. Around 41 Indians are in Kuwait on self-sponsorship.
