Arpan Kuwait celebrated Onam on Friday 18th September 2015 at Indian Community School (Senior) – Salmiya.
The program started with a prayer and the Joint Secretary - Mr. Mohammed Rafi delivered the welcome speech followed by lighting of the traditional lamp by the Arpan Office Bearers. Mr. P A Menon President of Arpan rendered the presidential speech and Advisory Board chairman - Mr. Mohan Iyer and Ladies Wing Convener - Ms. Rathi Ramamoorthi also addressed the gathering and conveyed their Onam messages. The financial matters of Arpan Onam program was well managed by Mr. S.P Ganesh, Treasurer.
Onam Messages were also conveyed by special guests Mr. Vijayan Karayil- Hon. Secretary of Indian Community School Kuwait, Mr. K N S Das - Country Head, Lulu exchange, Mr. Abdul Fattah Thayyil - Convener Malayali Media forum and Mr. Mathew Varghese, Country Head Bahrain Exchange Company.
Program Convener - Mr. Mahadevan proposed the Vote of Thanks.
The main attractions of the program were attractive Pookalam and Onappattu by Arpan Members, Thiruvathira Kali by Arpan ladies wing members, Fashion show by Arpan kids, Solo dance by Amalendu and Ganamela by Dazzling Music Events.
The arrival of Mahabali amid the beats of Chenda Melam was well-received by the audience. A sumptuous ‘Ona Sadhya’ was served in a traditional style on banana leaves to all attendees and guests.
Representatives from various renowned Organisation such as NAFO, Sevadarsan and Saradhi attended the program.
