Arpan – Kuwait, one of the most active associations in Kuwait remains in the forefront of cultural and charitable activities benefiting its members and the society at large. After the much successful seminar on Breast Cancer Awareness held on March 12, 2015, Arpan presented a Seminar and Workshop on “Leadership Skills” and “Public Speaking”.
Under the Stewardship of its President Sri P A Menon, the seminar was organized at the UC Mas auditorium in Salmiya on June 19, 2015. The packed audience comprised of Arpan members, invited guests and general public. The Seminar, sponsored by UAE Exchange, was called to order by Sri. Venkatakrishnan, General Secretary of Arpan. This was followed by the Welcome address delivered by Arpan President Sri P A Menon.
In the first segment, the audience was given valuable tips on leadership skills and traits by management expert Sri Krishnan K Pillai, who is the Ex-president and a senior member of Arpan. Currently a member of Arpan’s Executive Committee, KKP, as he is popularly known, helped the audience to understand the nuances of leadership by drawing inspiration from the 5,000 year old epic Mahabharata.
After a short break, the second session started with a presentation on Public Speaking by Sreekumar Mankuzhy, who is currently the PRO of Arpan. The session concluded with a workshop on public speaking for the audience to deliver impromptu speeches based on topics provided on the spot. The inspired audience responded overwhelmingly with almost everyone vying to showcase their leadership and public speaking skills.
The evening concluded with a vote of thanks from Sri Nagarajan, Executive Committee Member of Arpan.
