Presented on the occasion of the Algiers Motor Show, the New PEUGEOT Partner has a new look in 2015 and also benefits from changes in technology.

Perfectly in tune with its time, it still does not forget the fundamental reasons for its success: reliability, flexibility and unequalled modularity combined with benchmark loading capacity and a comfortable cabin.

In 1996, PEUGEOT revolutionised the small van segment with the Partner and its original one-box body style, entirely designed to meet the growing demand from business users for efficiency and robustness. A second, then a third generation PEUGEOT Partner continued to develop the definition of a small van, with its spaciousness, comfort and modularity remaining the reference in the segment.

In a segment with 3 more offers, the worldwide annual sales volume of this 3rd generation of the PEUGEOT Partner are continuing to grow. It had almost doubled in 2014 compared to the first full year on sale in 2009. During the same period, its market share outside Europe grew by more than 15 %, reaching 20%.

Robustness Put to the Test

The robustness and reliability of the PEUGEOT Partner have also been proven during the development of the vehicle.

More than 6 million kilometres, representative of intensive use in the hands of customers, were covered in the most severe conditions, including:

- Running heavily loaded at high speed;

- A “torture” body and suspension test bed, reproducing road surfaces with the most difficult and damaging surfaces : cobblestone, potholes, etc.;

- Tests under sunlight at up 85°C and under different climatic conditions, alternating between cold and hot in a climatic chamber to test the resistance of components and materials;

- Anti-corrosion and sealing tests with vehicles passing through a ford and subjected to salt water spray.

The Best Safety and Driving Assistance Systems

To ensure safety, ease driving and preserve the vehicle over time, PEUGEOT Partner offers a wide range of modern and technological driving and safety systems.

In addition to the standard safety equipment such as ABS, emergency braking assistance, ESP with traction control, Hill Start Assist and Direct under-inflation detection using a pressure sensor fitted to each wheel, the new PEUGEOT Partner offers Active City Brake. As well as allowing an accident to be avoided or the seriousness of an impact to be reduced, this system also has a positive effect on the insurance group rating, and therefore running costs, a key factor for business users.

Cruise control and speed limiter are now standard from trim level 2. A fixed limiter function also makes it possible to set 4 limit speeds as desired by the customer.

In addition to the rear parking sensors already standard on trim level 3, the new PEUGEOT Partner offers front parking sensors and a reversing camera, available as options. Manoeuvres are thus made easier and the vehicle better protected.

Mobile Office: Functional and Connected

The PEUGEOT Partner offers a drivers cab perfectly adapted to business use.

The tall driving position gives optimum vision and ergonomic instruments and controls with a steering wheel adjustable for height and reach – rare in the segment - and the gear lever located on the dashboard. In addition, the 3rd centre passenger seat at the front benefits from a normal level of legroom, unique in the segment, with the ETG6 gearbox and its rotary control knob on the dashboard instead of a gear lever.

Close to 60 litres of storage space is available in the cabin for the use of passengers and the driver. The closed space in front of the steering wheel and the writing table on the back of the folding backrest of the central seat are particularly useful for business users.

Benchmark Load Carrying and Flexibility

To meet the differing needs of business users, the PEUGEOT Partner offers L2 at 4,63 m, a crew cab version with a folding bench seat in row and a floor cab for body converters.

The PEUGEOT Partner is characterised by its modularity and load capacity, for which it is a benchmark in its category. It offers load volumes that are among the most generous in the segment.

Its load volume attains 3.7 m3 for an L2 with a load length of 2.05 m. This load capacity rises to 4.1 m3 for an L2 with a load length of 3.25 m due to the Multiflex seat (description below).

With its benchmark load width of 1.62 m and 1.23 m between wheel arches, the PEUGEOT Partner is capable of accommodating 2 Euro pallets (1.2 m x 0.80 m). Its asymmetric side-hinged rear doors with 180° opening make loading particularly easy.

Its payload is up to 750 kg on L2, among the best in the category.

With its Multiflex seat, the new PEUGEOT Partner retains the exclusive modularity which has been a feature of the vehicle since its launch. This equipment, unique in the small van segment, copied but never equalled, allows:

? - 3 people to be seated at the front. This practical feature is greatly appreciated by business users, allowing them to carry employees and their tools from one job to another, keeping journeys to a minimum ;

? - A flat floor to be obtained, with a load volume up to 400 litres and a load length greater than 1.20 m, while still retaining the ability to carry 2 people, thanks to the folding outer passenger seat

? - Tall loads to be transported thanks to the outer passenger seat cushion which can also be lifted onto the backrest ;

? - A mobile office function due to the writing table included into the back of the central seat backrest ;

? - Additional load space, lockable with a padlock.
