Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC) Pays Tribute to Rajiv Gandhi

Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Kuwait organized a “Rajiv Gandhi Remembrance Day” on May 21 and paid homage on his 24th death anniversary, at the Indian Community School, Amman Branch.

The Youngest Prime Minister of India and the charismatic leader of Indian National Congress lost his life by a bomb explosion, while he was on an election campaign. During his term of office (1984-89), his main focus was on building bridges, sinking differences and fighting for freedom and encouraging younger generation

Vice-President Chacko George Kutty chaired the meeting, while Acting President Aby Varikkad inaugurated the function. General Secretary Joseph Thankachan and Rajiv Neduvilemuri delivered key-note speech. B.S. Pillai, Rafia Anas, Krishnan Kadalundi, Kochappally Vijaya Bhanu, Roy Kaithavana, Hareesh Thrippunithura, Iqbal Kuttamangalam, Suresh Mathur, Mathew Chennithala spoke on the occasion. General Secretary Manoj Channapetta, Secretary proposed vote of thanks.
