AMEC F.S. Wins KC Cric & Kuwait Stallions Claims KC Champions Trophies

Kuwait Cricket conducted finals of KC Champions League and KC Cric League on Friday, May the 8th at Jleeb and Sulaibiya cricket grounds. At Jleeb, Kuwait Stallions Cricket Club defeated Apparel Heroes to bag Jleeb Champions League Trophy and AMEC Future Stars defeated Swahel Al-Frensia at Sulaibiya to win KC Cric League Trophy.

In the first finals played at Jleeb ground, Apparel Heroes won the toss and elected to Bat first. They scored 192 for 2 with their prolific run getter Asghar Pyare scoring a brilliant 110 off only 70 deliveries in which he hit two huge sixes and 14 hits to the fence. He was ably supported first by Vijay who was out for 15, leg before to Shahid and Alagesan who hit an unbeaten whirlwind 48 off 29 balls with six boundaries. Asghar was caught by Gilani off Tahir. In reply, Kuwait Stallions lost their captain Gilani leg before to Alagesan for nought and Syed caught by Imran off Irfan for 10.

Thereafter, Mohiuddin and Tahir steadied their inning. Mohiuddin made 62 off 47 balls with one six and seven boundaries. He was caught by Asghar off Irfan. Tahir was in a punitive mood cracking seven boundaries in his 41 off 19 balls before losing his stumps to Kamal. Kashif first with Siddique(23 off 14 balls) and Shahid (10 not out) ensured the victory for Kuwait Stallions. He remained unbeaten on 32 off 20 balls. Mohammed Mohiuddin was declared the Man of the Match.

The second finals for KC Cricket League, AMEC Future Stars won the toss and elected to Bat first. They scored 172 for seven in 20 overs. Hisham scored 52 off only 35 balls with four sixes and Three hits to the fence. He was caught by Shakeel off Tayyeb. Ameen was bowled by Adnan for 11. Usman played anchor’s role with a patient 40 with one six and a boundary. Ali made 11 and Abdullah hit three sixes and a four to score a brisk 32 off 12 balls. Abdullah with 2 for 23 runs and Adnan 3 for 24 were the main wicket takers for Swahel. Tayyeb and Irfan shared the remaining two wickets. In reply, Swahel began well with their Captain Khalid and Irfan building their innings steadily. Irfan was trapped leg before by Abdullah for 19. Khalid made 41 with three sixes and two boundaries and was brilliantly caught by Ali Zaheer off Hisham. Swahel lost three quick wickets that of Abdullah (7) who snicked to wicket keeper Usman off Ali, Humair was caught by Ali off his own bowling for two and Ansar bowled by Hisham for four. Atif and Shakeel tried to stop the onslaught but Atif skied Faizan and Ali Zaheer took another r brilliant catch to dismiss him for 21.

Shakeel was bowled by Hisham for 23 . Thereafter Swahel inning folded up for 151. Hisham was the top wicket taker for AMEC F.S. with 3 for 16. Ali took 2 for 30, Faizan took 2 for 19, and Fayaz and Abdullah took one wicket each. AMEC Future Stars won the match by 21 Runs. Hisham Mirza was adjudged man of the finals for his all-round performance.

The winners, runners up and man of the finals trophies and prizes to the finalists were given by the Kuwait Cricket Director General, Mr. Asad Baig, Director Domestic, Mr. Iqbal Vanoo, Director Technical , Mr. Sudhakar Shetty, Director Women’s Cricket , Mr. Mahboob Khan, Director Corporate Cricket, Mr. Murali Kutticode, Asst. Director, Mr. Tahir Khan and the guest of honour, Mr. Danish Bangi of AMEC.
