LONG-SERVING Community Advisor of KKMCC and K I C Dr. Ghalib Al-Mashoor was last Friday re-elected as President of Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society, for a second term when elections of office-bearers for the 2015--2017 term were held at the Play Club pavilion in Salmiya, Dr. Ghalib Al-Mashoor, Founding Chairman of IKFS who served as President since inception , will have as his First Vice-president Advocate Sayid Mohamed Nizar, while A K S Abdul Nazar re-elected as General Secretary of IKFS.
Engineer Sayid Fadal Nizar and Sayed Zoheb were given life member status for their services to the association over the many years. K. Natarajan, Azizu Rahman and Pradeep Rajkumar were elected as 1st, 2nd and 3rd secretary respectively while Chartered Accountant Ifthekhar Ahmad also was re-elected as Treasurer.
There are 40 working committee members in addition to about 25 known personalities as Patrons who are shattered around the world for IKFS.
IKFS is a Non-Profit NRI Indian friendship association in Kuwait while its activities mainly include various awareness and educational programs, Art and cultural events, humanitarian services, sports and tour programs focusing mainly on the expatriate Indian population and Kuwaiti citizens in Kuwait. Last year IKFS conducted in coordination with KKMCC – Jahra committee "Free medical camp" at "Jahra" in Kuwait, for the low-income workers in association with Jahra based Sub-Speciality Medical Centre. Various nationalities benefited the Medical camp especially from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
