Art & Feast Festival organized by Mahilavedi, the ladies wing of Kozhikode District Association, Kuwait proved to be a feast for eyes, ears and tongues of all those who witnessed the event. The full day event provided an altogether different experience to the Kuwait community at large and the Indian community in particular.
More than thousands of people attended the Art & Feast Festival -2015, organized by Mahilavedi - Kozhikode District Association, Kuwait on Friday 10th April 2015 at Indian Central School Abbasiya. The Festival inaugurated by Mrs. Chitra Iyer, the famous play back singer and television anchor. In her inaugural speech she congratulated the organizers for conducting such a programme which will help in empowerment of ladies and exhibition of their creative talents. Mahilavedi President Mrs. Biji Ramakrishnan presided over the inaugural function. Mahilavedi Secretary Mrs. Mymoona Aydeed explained the activities of Mahilavedi. Association President Mr. Haneef.C, General Secretary Mr. Shyjith.K, Patron Mr. Rajagopalan.E offered felicitations.
Association Treasurer Mr. Najeeb.P.V, Patrons Mr. Shabeer Mandolly & Mr. Ashraf Aydeed, Mahilavedi Joint Secretary Mrs. Sajitha Sivadas, Joint Conveners Mrs. Aneecha Shyjith and Mrs. Thesni Haneef, Publicity Convener Mrs. Safreena Sameer, Sponsorship Convener Mrs. Vanisree Santhosh, Reception Convener Mrs. Neena Rajagopal and Volunteer Convener Mrs. Shagirani Bharathan were also present in the dais.
The full day event was a colorful celebration for all, especially ladies from all communities and children of all ages as they could stage their excellent performance and artistic talents in various competitions including cinematic dance, little star, fancy dress folk dance, light music, jewellery making, nadan pattukal and cooking competition.
Miss. Noura Nassim hosted the programmes, General Convener Miss. Rekha.T welcomed the gathering and Vice president Mrs.Reeja Santhosh thanked all who helped to make the Art & Feast Festival - 2015 a big success on behalf of Mahilavedi.
The competition of ladies and children was significant by the huge number of participation and excellent performance. All of the judges stated that the participants were highly talented and they faced difficulty to find out the winners. The winners of the different competitions are as follows.

The festival really provided an unforgettable experience to all of the participants and the audience.
