The Annual General body Meeting of Adoor NRI Forum Kuwait was held in Hi-Dine Auditorium, Abbassiya. Vice President Reju Varghese welcomed the gathering while President Mathews Oommen presided. General Secretary Sam C Vilanilam presented the Annual Report for the year 2014. Treasurer Roy KK and Adoor- Karunya convenor William K presented the financial report and Karunya charity committee report respectively.
President Mathews Oommen congratulated all members for their commendable efforts during the year 2014. He especially congratulated the members for their valuable support which they have extended in order to built a world class waiting shed in the heart of Adoor Town, which he observed it as a ‘Nostalgic signature’ of the NRIs from Adoor in Kuwait. He also pointed out that, it is a model for not only NRI’s in Kuwait, but around the world, in order to take up voluntary projects in their home lands. He has encouraged the honorable members in order to complete the agreed tasks with the Municipality by completing the other projects too at the earliest.
Advisory committee chairman Koshy Mathew Nellimmottil opined the ‘spirit’ of Adoor should prevail in our daily lives, which can take us even further in contributing to our homeland. He also praised the members for their support for the charity works which the association has been undertaken.
Later the AGM conducts the election of new office bearers for the year 2015. Koshy Mathew was the returning officer. The following members were elected as office bearers & committee members: President: Sam C Vilanilam, Vice President: Sreekumar S Nair, General Secretary: Bijo P Babu, Treasurer: Jayan Janardhanan, Joint Secretaries: Thomas John Adoor and Sobesh Thomas, PRO: Biju KC.
Advisory Board: Chairman is Mathews Oommen and Koshy Mathew Nellimmoottil, Jacob George and Gee Mathew were elected as advisory members.
The following Executive committee also was elected: Reju Varghese, Shyju Adoor, Roy KK, Rajesh Prasanthi, William K, Jiju David, Chandrababu Adoor, John Mathew, Rajesh Pappachan, Boves k Yohannan, Anand Prakash, Jiju P Simon, Biju Daniel, Sunil Kumar AG, Terry Thomas, Gigi Mavila, Saju Mathew and Manoj Varghese. Binoy K J is the new auditor
The president elect Sam C Vilanilam in his address appealed all the members for their whole hearted support in order to include all people from Adoor region residing in Kuwait, to the forum. He also urged the members for the support to complete the undertaken projects with Adoor Municipality
Bijo P Babu delivered vote of thanks
