YMCA Kuwait conducted the Third Interchurch Bible Quiz competition at the Light House, Kuwait City. The program was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Reji C.Varghese (Associate Vicar - St. Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka). Mathew Eapen (Vice President) presided the function. Rev. Samji K. Sam (Vicar of St. Peter’s CSI Church) delivered the felicitations on the occasion.
The biblical quiz was based on the books of Judges, Deuteronomy, the gospel Mathew and the book of Acts of Apostles. The Quiz Masters, E.M. Jacob, Joy Panicker and Varghese Mathew conducted the quiz section with the technical support of Pramod George, Mathew John & Joji Varghese. There was also a round of quiz for the audience, which added color to the event. Biju Vellor compered the program. Eight Churches participated and six of them entered the final round.
After a tough competition, Brethren Believers Assembly won the first prize, Mariam Ever Rolling Trophy, Assembly of God, Kuwait, bagged the second prize, Dr A. T. Varghese Ever Rolling Trophy & MarThoma Church, Ahmadi, secured the third prize, Mathew Eapen Ever rolling Trophy. The winners were presented with medals and certificates. Rev. Shaji P. Joshua (Vicar - St. Basil Orthodox Church) distributed trophies and mementos to the winning teams. Parimanam Manoj (General Secretary) welcomed all the teams and the guests. Joseph M.A. (Convener) proposed the vote of thanks.
