Doordarshan to live telecast 'Beating Retreat'; Available in Kuwait

India's Public service broadcaster Doordarshan will carry live transmission of “Beating Retreat” Ceremony in New Delhi scheduled on 29 January 2015.

Doordarshan India channel is available in Free-to-Air mode in Kuwait and rest of the Gulf region. The channel carried Live telecast of the Indian Republic Day celebrations on 26 January 2015.

Its downlink parameters are as under:-

Frequency 11.604 GHz

Polarization Horizontal

FEC 5/6

Symbol rate 27.500 Msymbols/s

In a press release Indian Embassy urges all interested to utilize the above Live-streaming series of Doordarshan.

India's Public service broadcaster Doordarshan, a division of Prasar Bharati, is one of India's largest broadcasting organisations in terms of studio and transmitter infrastructure.

'Beating Retreat' ceremony officially denotes the end of Republic Day festivities and is performed after three days from Republic Day.
