The athletics team of the Indian Community School, Kuwait set a record with an unparalleled 13th consecutive Championship Trophy at the recently concluded 16th CBSE Kuwait-Cluster Athletics Meet, 2014-15. ICSK won the trophy by securing 330 points. Also to the credit of ICSK athletes are 20 gold medals, 14 silver and 9 bronze medals. Commendably, 3 new meet records and 4 individual championships were bagged by the champion school
The individual champions from ICSK are Christa Filo Vincent of class X, Janet D’souza of class XI, Bijoy Sam Abraham of class X and Craig Rodrigues of class XI. Christa Filo Vincent won the 1st position in 100m & High Jump and set a new meet record in High Jump under-16 girls. Janet D’souza won the 1st position in Triple Jump & 1500m under-19 girls’ category. Bijoy Sam Abraham won the 1st position in the 400m & 800m under-16 boys’ category and also set new meet records for both events. Craig Rodrigues secured 1st position in the long jump & triple jump for the under-19 boys’ category.
Notably, Bijoy Sam Abraham and Christa Filo Vincent were declared the Best Athletes for the year 2014-15 at the Cluster Meet.
