1.Tell us about your professional history in the hotel industry?

I used to work in different Hotels of Mövenpick hotels around the GCC. I had a long history of tasks as A General Manager of the Mövenpick Madinah and as Director of Sales and Marketing at Mövenpick Hotel and Residence Hajar Makkah and Mövenpick Hotel and Resort Al Bida'a, Kuwait. Also I worked for international hotels chain such as Marriott, Hilton, Starwood, InterContinental and finally Mövenpick.

2. What do you think is the most distinctive or unique feature of the Mövenpick Hotel Kuwait that sets it apart from competitors?

Mövenpick Hotel Kuwait is one of the finest hotels in the city, since it combines exquisite hotel services, where our guest can relax amidst the elegant architecture and fine entertainment that expresses the passion of the genuine Swiss hospitality that makes our guest feel like at home. We are also proud of our professional event management services that encapsulate the highest quality standards, creative cuisine and qualified service. Business meetings, weddings or anniversaries can be made memorable at our Meetings room and Taiba traditional Arabic tent that fits more than 350 people.

3. What is unique about your hotel's location?

Being situated in the Gulf of Shuwaikh - within the Free Zone in Kuwait, the hotel is only 10minutes away from Kuwait airport by car, 6minutes away from Kuwait city, 4minutes away from the Shuwaikh Industrial City, 10minutes from the renowned Avenues Mall, and it's closely located to Kuwait University, The Ministry of Health and Al Sabah Hospitals.

4. What makes your hotel memorable and unforgettable?

The attention to details, the personalized service and the welcoming atmosphere. In addition, the hotel offers 5 international specialty restaurants: Bays restaurant with a pool view and a garden view, the Italian restaurant Al Dente, Garden Café, the Cuts restaurant and our very special and elegant English lounge, where the famous Mövenpick ice cream is served with a huge variety of tea and snacks, at the sounds of a Live Piano every night.

5.What does the hotel offer in terms of leisure facilities?

We have an outdoor swimming pool with waterfalls, a kids club and a professional gym is also available for guests.

7. What exciting strategies do you have in place for 2015 ?

Certainly there is currently a focus on short and medium term intraregional travel In particular GCC families on short breaks or visiting relatives on a long term basis create a definite potential for Kuwait to position itself as one of the leading leisure destinations in the GCC

8.The government has ambitious plans to stimulate tourism. How are you aligning yourselves with the government’s strategy?

Kuwait needs to look to many channels that attract the international market and focus their attention on positioning itself as a global player. The implementation and ongoing improvements of the new visa scheme is certainly a major step in the right direction to opening up the country to overseas visitors. Kuwait’s tourism sector is dominated by the corporate and government segments, especially due to the country’s natural resources and high spending power. Yet the country is also a haven for visitors from neighboring countries, who visit mostly during the weekends and holidays such as Eid and Hala Feb

9.With a number of regional and internationally-branded hotels in the pipeline for Kuwait, how do you plan to keep your competitive edge in the market?

Any hotel looking for success, must be concerned with guests needs so, we are offering a new type of upscale and individual service to keep this hotel at the highest levels, especially after the renovation work, which included the entire hotel rooms to be the perfect place to stay for Kuwaiti and Arab brothers from the GCC countries or any country in the world, and we will try to be behind of all new.

10 .Kuwait is renowned as a corporate hub. Does your hotel have plans to explore any other tourism segments? If so please explain why and how you plan to entice guests to this segment?

Yes Kuwait's geographical location is considered as an opportunity to attract Arab and foreign business travelers from all over the world, thanks to its Arab Gulf Beach, that is located alongside its northern cost, as well as the futuristic plans to establish the International Financial Center, which will also make Kuwait an important station for business people.

Our main leisure market is Saudi Arabia, but we have noticed an increase of leisure guests from other GCC countries such as Qatar and Bahrain .Mövenpick Hotel Kuwait provides families with renovated 100 rooms with a pool view or a garden view, and a genuinely Arabic fine architecture. And every room is equipped with a wide screen TV, high-speed Internet connection and an international line, along with a round-the-clock room service.
