Business Development Manager at Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Khaled Al-Otaibi said that the strategic partnership that KFH adopts with institutions and well known centers that support diabetics’ prevention activities comes from its firm belief that such organisations benefit people and the society, which prompted KFH to continuously support health and educational activities.
On the occasion of holding the Third International Conference for the gulf group to study diabetes that began today in Jeddah under the auspices of His Highness Prince Khaled Al-Saoud, the Deputy National Guard for the Western Sector.
Al-Otaibi explained that KFH, which is a strategic partner for the event, in conjunction with Al-Salam Hospital that is affiliated to KFH, seeks to reinforce its role in the field of preventing diabetes by meeting international experts working in that field.
He further explained that the conference that Al-Salam’s General Manager Dr Ayman Al-Mutawwa will participate in, is organized by the Health Affairs at the National Guard, in conjunction with King Saoud Bin Abdul Aziz for Health Sciences, the Executive Office for ministers of health in the GCC countries, and the Saudi Society for Pediatric Medicine, which highlights KFH’s approach to expand its social activities to include Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, Al-Otaibi stressed the importance of supporting advanced scientific research conducted by doctors and consultants specialized in diabetes, since this dangerous disease spreads among all people at all ages.
He stated that the organizing committees for this major medical event have received more than 50 papers presented by doctors and professors participating from Saudi, gulf, and international universities that discuss the current and future status of diabetes in the world and the GCC countries; in addition to training workshops where Saudi and gulf doctors and specialists will be trained to prevent diabetes.
He noted that this conference comes as part of a series of international gulf scientific conferences, where the first international conference was held in Dubai and the second in Oman during the past years.
