Blessen George Foundation International conducted Family Picnic

Blessen George Foundation International (BGFI), the premier Volleyball and Sports promotion organization of Indian Diaspora in Kuwait, linked with Kuwait Volleyball Association (KVA), held a family get-together of BGFI fraternity on 20th and 21st of November at the idyllic resort of KABED.

BGFI Family Picnic was a gathering of enthusiastic sports lovers and their families and turned out to be a memorable and a very enjoyable event. It was held in a perfectly harmonious and friendly ambience and provided an opportunity for Members and their families to meet and interact with each, strengthen the bond between Members and exchange ideas and views on development of Sports and Games in Kuwait and India and matters of common interest. After an introduction by the Picnic Convener Mr. Raju Zachariahs, the Picnic was inaugurated by the Chairman, Mr. Oommen George.

The Picnic had well plotted interesting Games, led by Titty Thomas and Babuji Bathery, competitions between groups orchestrated by Raju Zachariahs and Chessil Ramapuram, and Cultural Programs which included Ganamela by “Kuwait Melodies” and families of BGFI Directors and Members, which revealed the outstanding singing talent of Mrs. Anju Binu John Philip and Ms. Anna Mariam Philip of BGFI. Prizes were awarded to winners of the games by BGFI Director Board Members. Mr. Rajan Rawther, the honorable Director of BGFI presented special prizes for participants.

The credit for mobilizing and organizing the Picnic goes to Picnic Convener Raju Zachariahs, Secretary General Benny Pathanamthitta, Treasurer Samuelkutty, and Director Board Member Binu John Philip and his Company colleague Dilip. The hospitality role was impeccably performed by Life Member Rossmon, who made everyone feel at home away from home. The ebullient and irrepressible Event Convener, Chessil Ramapuram magnificently compered the programs and made them lively and exhilarating. Secretary General Benny Pathanamthitta was the chief architect of all activities.

The admirable support and active involvement of Vice Chairman Sam George, and Director Board Members, Ajith Panicker, Mohan George, Bony chacko, Aju Antony, Advocate Thomas Panicker, Rendeep Mathew George, Jacob Thomas, M. Kuriakose, Suresh George, K.S. Varghese, George Joseph, Mathew Louis, and Kurian Punnoose, Life Members Shaji Varghese, Jacob Varghese and Gold Members Abu Peter Sam, Kuriakose Kadammanitta, Murali Panicker, Sunil Chakrapani and their families made the BGFI family together a truly memorable event and generated a feeling of unity and attachment.

Blessen George Foundation International (BGFI) with the unity and strong bond displayed at its get-together is proceeding with it’s preparations for it’s next Volleyball Tournament in cooperation with Kuwait Volleyball Association (KVA) and welcomes all broad minded and sports loving people of Indian Diaspora in Kuwait to join it as Life Members or Gold Members in promoting Volleyball and other Sports and Games and developing outstanding sports talents in Kuwait and India.
