On 19th & 20th October, 2014 we at SIMS, witnessed the Fancy Dress Competition of the students of Lower Kindergarten. The purpose of the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence. The little ones were given an opportunity to speak & perform in front of an audience.
In a display of talents, the theme – Health, Safety & Environment was well-depicted by the students. The tiny tots were dressed as apples, trees, animals, mountains, etc. Each described in a few sentences, the character that he/she represented.
This was indeed, a great learning experience for the children. It was truly a mesmerizing event which will be etched in memory for a long, long time!!!!
FANCY DRESS COMPETITION – U.K.G.
Every child dreams of dressing up and living in a world of make believe. Imagine how much better it would be to club it together with a relevant and meaningful theme!!
The tiny tots of Salmiya Indian Model School participated in the Fancy Dress competition – the theme being; “Environment – Reduce, Reuse & Recycle.” The event saw a few water drops, tress, recycled paper fairies, environmentalists, reused robots and little ‘globes’ moving around the school premises.
This was undoubtedly a feast for the eyes. Well done, little ones!!!!!
