TACK International-MGCC Presents Huawei’s 4nations T20 Festival International Superstars of Cricket to Compete Against Each Other

Friday 15th November 2013 was a day that will forever be etched in the memories of cricket lovers across the world as the biggest icon cricket has ever known, Sachin Tendulkar, played his last international innings. However, on the same day, some 2000 miles from India in the tiny desert country of Kuwait, Teams Association for Cricket in Kuwait (TACK) created history. Launched in 2009 with the promise of taking the game of Cricket in Kuwait to unparalleled heights by providing international standard, cricket playing facilities, it was on November 15th last year when TACK truly announced its arrival on the cricketing world stage in breathtaking style by creating a grand spectacle of lights, music, sound, and entertainment packed T20 cricket in the form of 4Nations Festival between Kuwait, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

According to one of the most profound Nike sports quotes “Ambitious goals make for outstanding achievements”. TACK’s vision for the 4Nations Festival last year was the very definition of ambitious and various innovations were introduced for the first time in history of Kuwait cricket. From action replays and real time scores being displayed on the gigantic LED screens erected, to live DJ, third umpire facility and live streaming on TACK’s website, cricket was being played in Kuwait as it deserves to be in the 21st century. In another first for cricket in Kuwait, cash prizes of $12000 were distributed among the teams and players. It was also the first time cricket in Kuwait was backed by the corporate muscle including the likes of Huawei, Gulf Bank, Enaya Insurance, Mada, McDonald’s, Western Union, Kuwait Bahrain Exchange and many others. In fact, Huawei, foreseeing the immense potential in this concept and wanting to stay ahead of the curve, has gone ahead and bought the naming rights of this year’s event.

Since that historic day TACK has ushered in a new era of cricket in Kuwait and continued to lead the way with introducing a new concept and idea to all of its major events. From introducing the helicam technology in the last D-TACK finals to press conferences and video adverts for TACK-HUAWEI XI, the organization has continued to prosper winning the love and support of players and cricket fans throughout Kuwait. As TACK’s name has become synonymous with originality and innovation, the burden was on TACK’s creative teams as to how they were going to make this year’s 4Nations bigger and better than last year. After months of grueling hard work that went behind the scenes, TACK’s team has come up with a winning plan to make this year’s event truly magnanimous.

Staying true to its reputation of being the torch-bearer of innovation, for the first time ever in the history of cricket in Kuwait, TACK has pulled off an amazing feat of inviting as many as seven top line International cricketers to come down to Kuwait and compete in a domestic tournament alongside the country’s local talent through the platform of TACK-MG & Huawei 4Nations T20 festival 2014. Instead of inviting some upcoming talent from the domestic circuits of some of these test playing nations, TACK went all out for this endeavor and has invited some of the biggest names to have ever played the game. These include the likes of one of the best all-rounder produced by Pakistan i.e. Azhar Mahmood, 1996 World Cup winners Upul Chandana and Aravinda De Silva from Sri Lanka, Scott Styris from New Zealand, former England captain Adam Hollioake, South African master blaster Herschelle Gibbs and the giant of Baroda Yusuf Pathan from India.

The sight of these international cricketers playing side by side with the best of Kuwait’s cricketing talent is a mouth-watering prospect and is reason enough to lock your dates for the 28th of November which is a Friday. Herschelle Gibbs, Scott Styris, and Adam Hollioake will represent TACK-KUWAIT XI along with Kuwaitis and Kuwait born cricketers.

Yousuf Pathan will represent TACK-INDIA XI along with the best talent of Indian cricketers residing in Kuwait. A few first class players from India are also going to fly down to compete in this historic event. Azhar Mahmood is going to represent TACK-Pakistan XI along with the best talent of Pakistani cricketers residing in Kuwait. Aravinda De Silva & Upul Chandana will represent TACK-Sri Lanka XI along with the best talent of Sri Lankan cricketers residing in Kuwait.

Huawei Tech. Investment co.ltd has bought the naming rights of the 4 nations T20 festival. Gulf Bank, McDonald’s fast delivery in Kuwait, and Western Union are the platinum partners along with Al Mulla – Mitsubishi Motors, who are going to give their new car “Attrage” to the local player of the tournament and are therefore the exclusive automotive partner. Indiansinkuwait.com is the official media partner with thousands of people expected to turn up at TACK entertainment city cricket ground – Doha. The atmosphere is bound to be electrifying with the best of cricket superstars competing against each other. Touristic Enterprises Company support and management has ensured the event’s security is tightened up for the entire spectator’s and the player’s safety and protection.
