Telugu Kala Samithi–Kuwait (TKS) is the largest and oldest Telugu Association registered in Indian Embassy Kuwait. TKS organizes Social and Cultural activities regularly for their members. TKS recently celebrated Silver Jubilee and entered into 26th year.
The Present committee is headed by Sri. Narasimha Raju as President, Sri. Sudhakara Rao as Vice President & Sri. Venkat Koduri as General Secretary. As part of the present 2014-15 Committee activities, TKS planned a Mega Musical Program with Famous Indian Singer Smt. K.S.Chitra and Team especially for Telugus living in Kuwait on 26th September 2014 from 5 PM onwards. The Team consists of welknown Telugu Cine playback singers Sri Krishna, Simha, Praveen, Ramya Behara & Harini and renowned Orchestra by ‘All in 7 International Musical Group’ headed by Rakesh.
To say few words about Smt. Chithra… She is a Famous Cine play back singer and she has lent her voice to Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Badaga, Sanskrit, Tulu, Urdu and Punjabi songs. She also sings Indian classical, devotional, and popular music. She is a recipient of six National Film Awards (the most by any female singer), 6 Film fare Awards South and 31 different state film awards. She has won all the four south Indian state film awards. Smt. Chitra has performed all over India, the entire Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, UK, France, US, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Western European Countries like Nigeria, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Norway and Denmark.
The Program is planned in Al-Mansooriya Stadium with seating capacity of 3500.
