Kuwait cabinet has set new percentages of national labor to be imposed on private sector companies in the country. According to Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) secretary general Fauzi Al-Majdali, this move will create 100,00 jobs for Kuwaitis in the private sector.

The new decision increased the percentage of national labor from 60 to 66 percent in the banking sector, from 56 to 60 percent in communications, from 2 to 3 percent in agricultural activities, from 15 to 20 percent in real estate and from 16 to 18 percent in insurance sector.

A private company which employs more than 25 staff required to fulfill the percentage of nationals in work force according to the sector.

The Cabinet also will form a special committee to fight fake employment in the private sector.
