The Ministry of Interior announced Tuesday that the police managed to indentify and arrest the perpetrator of murder on Al-Salmy Motorway within 24 hours after the crime.
Upon receiving tips from Taymaa police station that a citizen was shot dead on the road, the Criminal Investigations Dept was alerted and intensified the efforts to track down the culprit.
A team of investigators was formed urgently and was able to identify the murderer who proved to be a Kuwaiti citizen, according a statement by the Security Media Dept.
The man confessed to the crime, its motives and the weapon used, the statement said, adding that the necessary legal measures are underway. ou
