Producer of several hit shows, Indian Cultural Society, presented a unique combination of entertainment on Friday 28th March 2014 at the American International School auditorium. The show featured a rocking comedy stage play, Punjabi folk dance, Gidda, Bhangra & high voltage musical live concert by youth icon and playback singer Shibani Kashyap, film & theater actor Aanjan Srivastav, Himani Shivpuri, Vibha Anand, Piyush Ranade, Sachin Parikh, & Kuwait''s own talents from NSCG (PCS).

ICS always tries to bridge cultures and they keep the community happy by bringing together renowned artists on one stage. Apart from the renowned stars, the show featured local talents from Kuwait. Hundreds of fans hit the AIS auditorium, filling the house to its capacity. It was a true "Celebration" of Vaisakhi, a popular festival of Punjab and other parts of North India. The chief guest of the evening was H.E.Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India to Kuwait. The Guest of honor was S. Swarn Singh (CEO- Green Spring Group Co.) who released the souvenir of the event along with other dignitaries. The eminent guests who blessed the evening were Kamal Al Din ( GM- KCH), Sharif Rangrez (MD- Eternity Tourism) Manjit Singh ( GSGC) Ajaz Ahmed ( MD- Sahara Ac Co), Nikita Kohli ( MM- Taal Int. Restra), Vijay D Kapoor ( MD- Faisal Al Hulaifi group), Pascal Pinto ( President GNRI Forum), Afzal Khan ( MM- Malabar Gold), Ashish Tandon( GM- KAICO group) Karamjit S Grover ( PCS) & Lali Singh ( Director Green Spring Projects ). They spoke of Indo Kuwait friendship, cultural exchange, and contribution of India to the world. They also expressed their appreciation of the ICS efforts to promote art and culture in Kuwait. The show was anchored by the popular Ashfaque A Khan, President of Indian Cultural Society who anchored the show in his flamboyant customary style. Ashfaque has completed 125 shows as anchor & emcee in a variety of events.

The main show kicked off with a romantic song by Qaisar Ali on behalf of Sahara followed by a dance performance of young talents from NSCG 'Balle Balle'. The audience were spellbound by the grounded performance of experienced and superlative actors such as Himani Shivpuri & Aanjan Srivastav along with with Vibha, Akansha & Piyush. "Rishton Ka Live Telecast" was a super act which was funny, entertaining and informative. The excellent stage play was appreciated with a standing ovation. ICS also honored Chaitali B Roy with a memento for her regular contribution to promoting art and culture and for supporting personalities working for the community.

Kuwait's local talent Gunkirat Grover sang "Kurti Meri Cheet Di". Young singers Krutika & Saniya Tandon followed it up with " Eik Taara". Both songs were received with huge applause. The Baiskhi performance started with a traditional Gidda presented by the female wing of PCS. The performance was choreographed by Mrs Inderpal Kaur and Mrs. Kulvinder Duggal who made the evening delightful and colorful. They were followed by bhai Surjit Singh & Bhai Avtar Singh who presented Bhangra & Punjabi Folk, for the first time in Kuwait. Live concert started with a couple of numbers by upcoming singer Safa Khan who set the tone of the evening with her soulful song "Sawar Loon, Piya Tose Naina Laage Re, Manm Saat Samunder".

The highlight of the show was the female music-composer & guitarist, director & playback singer Shibani Kashyap, who made a entry with " Sajna Aa Bhi Ja". Shibani gave a scintillating performance non-stop for two and a half hours, in which she sang her famous numbers, evergreen songs, and hit Punjabi numbers. Her latest hit song "Soniye' with Mikka Singh was highly appreciated. In between, performances by groups of Bhandra & Punjabi pop added color to the live concert. Master Gurujot Singh & his sister Komal Kaur performed some surprising acrobatic steps.

The special raffle draw was a "Diamond Ring" from Malabar Gold, which was won by Sharif Rangrez which he later gifted to Shibani. Also there were stall from Novolac, Simran Cloths, Dxn Products, White House Food corner, special counters for Jalebi, Makki di Roti & Sarso da Saag, road show of Punjab on posters, shaahi gate, props & fancy dresses etc. The event was a complete showcase of the vivacity and colors of the state of Punjab.

The guests were gifted mementoes & gift hampers by Sahara AC & ICS. Refreshment & complementary items were distributed by Malabaar Gold, Novolac Milk, Al Yasra Food & Al Zahem & Malhotra. The ICS president expressed his gratitude to all executives of ICS, volunteers, event supporters including Mrs. Joe (Catering- White House), Shakoor Sheikh & Subin Philip (Digital & Video) Mr. Anand D'souza, James Paul & Imran Ahmed (Light, Sound & still photography) Mr. Rashid Sheikh for auditorium services,. Finally the show ended with the famous number "Alvida Alvida". The hard work of the ICS team who believe in providing quality entertainment on time has become a model for live programmes in Kuwait. *Kaifi Aur Main* (IPTA), which is based on the autobiographical work of the poet, writer, lyricist and freedom fighter Kaifi Azmi 's wife Shaukat Azmi. The play highlights her journey of life and love with her husband Kaifi Azmi. Both these plays are a tribute to two writer's and their journey of creativity.
