Thursday, February 14, 2013

A police detective who used to break into people’s apartments using his police ID and then rob them was arrested when residents of a building in Ahmadi, whom he was trying to rob, outnumbered and overpowered him and his accomplices. According to Kuwiat Times, the residents kept them restrained until police arrived at the scene. The two had reportedly collected around KD3000 after the officer used his police ID to intimidate the expatriate residents and then began extracting money threatening physical assault. The residents told the police that yet another accomplice managed to escape. The two were taken to the Fahaheel police station to be held pending legal procedures, while investigations were on to track down the third accomplice.
