Expatriates celebrate Christmas togetherness

Family get-togethers and prayers marked the special day of Christmas for the large number of expatriate Christians living in Kuwait

Christian churches in Ahmadi and Kuwait city have held special masses on the eve of Christmas, taking advantage of the religious freedom the Kuwait leadership accords its residents.

Many attended the Christmas mass programme held at church yesterday evening. It is the time to reflect on what God has done for mankind. It’s a time of peace and joy and celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth. Many of the restaurants in Kuwait offered special Christmas menu on the card to celebrate the special day.

Houses and streets where the Indian population is large in number like Abbasiya and Salmiya are bedecked with lights and decorations to celebrate the festival of Christmas.

The X-Mas Tree photo Contest organized by IndiansinKuwait.com and IWIK was unique this year and many people participated in the contest by sending the photographs of their Christmas tree. The contest, which is still going on, is open to all Indian residents living in Kuwait. Exciting prizes such as LED TV, Microwave Oven, Food processor etc wait for the best decorated Christmas tree by the readers.

Various community associations are conducting Special programs across the country for Christmas.
