Ministry of Electricity and Water officials conducted surprise inspections in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area to prevent outbreak of fires. A number of violations were found during the raids, reported Kuwait Times daily. Officials cut power from 10 buildings that are in violation of ministry conditions in cooperation with the interior ministry.

Very Good and appreciated step they have taken.Thank you for all the team who all are involved .Also a humble request to the officers please take steps against the new trend that is while construction of flat they will make a 4 flats in one floor. After getting ministries approval and Power to building,They will convert the 4 flat into 6 flat.It may conjusted,ok, more over the MCBs of AC and lighting of someones flat is in next flat.if it get trip due to any reasons,We have to wait/or to distrub others for reset.here they are violating the elecrticity rules, cheating the authorities also.

The joke is that 6 flat also have PACI nos.How it is possible?

Its such a co-incident that the gov has to conduct surprise checks in Jleeb for outbreak of fires, also they check for residence violations in Jleeb. If they need the expat community out of Jleeb, they can just ask all to leave rather than torturing all those who live there with one reason or another. Dont be surprised if you return to your flat to find your door smashed. The recent raids have left many shocked as the MOI officials tap your door twice and if you dont open then they break it...

pathetic..

Our building basement is using as sofa manufacturing. Twice fire outbreak is happened there and still it is functioning without any problems. We made a complain to Baladiya & to the Jleeb police station but their reply was to come if fire happens again.
What is their problem if the whole building is wiped out due to fire and one load ash gone to India instead of dead bodies!!! WHO CARES!!

Good work authorities, but please check the under construction buildings also for proper facilities like parking, children play area for skycrapers and other aminities. Most of the buildings construct without proper parking or no parking. Surprisingly authorities never take any action against the builder but fine the car owners/tenents of that building.

Why was raid conducted only in expat areas?

Why are the owners of these buildings not punished?
