We had been to Saravana Bhavan gr8 ambience & food was really gud.It cannot be compared with Udipi .We have never tasted such fresh chutneys and tasty dosas like this in Kuwait before. They have recently started and the crowd is tooo much so it will take time for things to settle. So why to grumble on such silly things instead lend your support as u r lucky to get such quality food and appreciate them for the pains they have taken as it is not that easy to open a restaurant in Kuwait.
ALL THE BEST TO THE MANAGEMENT ! GUD JOB !

My family and I went to the new Saravana Bhavan in Fahaheel on 24th, Saturday. Service was awuful. Zero courtesy! Very surprising for a new restaurant! Portions of chutney / samabar were very meagre! Idli was small and not soft; vada was fine; mysore bonda was a total disaster! Dosa was good. North Indian items were not ready (at 7:45pm!!. Every dish was served without spoon or fork and each time we had to ask for them. Quite a disappointment. Don't know if this is the true Saravana Bhavan from India! I don't think we will visit them again in a long long time!

Yesterday I went to Sarvana Bhavan good touch in interior but taste is not up to their standard we order idly, parota, rava dosa, pongal and puri bhaji. They wrote hot idly but it is not cold idly small 2 pcs quality wise 3 out of 10 rava dosa too small but price wise it expensive pongal is not enough for my son who is just 4 years he ask for one more plate of pongal overall their quality is not good and costing too much Udipi Intl and Anjappar is much much better than sarvana bhavan

i find friday and today very rude and worst serving attitude from HSB staff, not hygenic, while they serve the rice between one table to another table,he spills the rice all over the body of customer and inside the water glass etc(it happened yesterday)...And they behaviour was very rough and rude...even though they use too call us (customer)sir sir!.

today i went to have a lunch at HSB when sitting at first table in front of the cashier, thought time is not enough to eat there it self,i told him to make it parcel, one guy came near to me asked ,what u ordered,i told him i am waiting for parcel, then he acts like HSB owner and ordered me to wait at another place...even if i am sitting over their he is not going to loss any thing as of today there was no rush and customer at all..then i told him ,i ll go down and come again to collect the food once it ready..he said thats your wish..,meantime i came down to my car and smoke one ciggy, after 10 mins i went up again and request about my order,i was really fedup with his answear that,he cancelled my order,he thought i wont come again....,plz can anyone giv Mr.Natarajan mobile#,as i heared he is working with gulfspic.

I went to SB twice on 24th (lunch & dinner). Both occasions, i was not impressed with the service, quality and quantity. The prices are not justified for the size and quantity of items, esp. ordinary dosa, pondaa, cutlet, etc. may be they will rectify all the shortcomings in the days to come and prove original SB taste and quality so that they sustain in the market. All the best.

Visited HSB yesterd afternoon for Thali. Waited 1/2 hr(thats OK) but waiter took 15 minutes to come to table and went back for another 15 minutes to check if Thali is available. The space is small but if they could serve fast the problem could have been solved. Positive : Taste - even it is 50% of HSB Chennai, it is OK.. Negative : Waiters wasting time

Dear All,

I feel Saravanabavan is not all worthy considering the time wasted in waiting area, time wasted in food serving after ordering, useless and hopeless servers and this is truly NOT A original SB taste . It is better to go to Udipi or Ceasers or any other decent restaurants and spend our money in a VALUABLE AND RESPECTFUL DIGNIFIED MANNER. If this trend continues i don't think it is going to last for more time..

All glittering things are NOT GOLD..

I had been to Saravana Bhavan 4 times so far. Enjoyed the food very much. Friends! May be there is some waiting time; but many of us believe that they would take another floor to accomocate more people.

Undoubtedly, HSB is world's best ever vegetarion restaurant and the same is maintained in Kuwait branch.

My family went for dinner on Friday night to Saravana, good experience.

My parents ordered Thali and they liked it. The waiters kept bringing pooris, chapatis, rice and other items taking good care of my parents needs.

Wife and I ordered dosas, it was superb! Chutney and sambar taste was just like Chennai.

My kids ordered noodles and mushroom fry. They liked it a lot.

Very bad experience yesterday at Saravana Bhavan.. Food was served with ONE potato sabji only, butter milk with 90% water, full oil papad and we charged KD1.900 for each South Indian maeal. We have waiting for the extra rice for a long time. Also Food is not as "Saravana Bavan" taste. I think if this continues like this, they may loose the customer.

I went to HSB twice - 1st time on 19th evening. That day too much crowd and it took nearly 2 hours to complete my dinner. 2nd time on 23rd evening. Due to crowd, I gave my name in the reception and within 15 minutes my turn came & they called me. Very very nice food and rates are moderate when compared with Udipi International. Thanks to HSB!!!

Mr.Roshan, I admit there is bad customer care in SB, Once in Dubai SB, the waiter behaved very bad and i was about to complain him. Udipi is far better in customer care and if any item is finsihed, they will say "NO" to customer rather than adjusting the item.

We found Udupi Restaurant & Greenland Restaurant at Kuwait City was 1000 times better and cheaper. Dubai Branch of Sharavana was nice, but Kuwait branch is hopeless & not worth visiting anymore. At the time of exit, we told the head waiter & also the Manager that we will neven again visit Saravana Bhavan in Kuwait.

Very bad experience today at Saravana Bhavan.. After waiting for 1 hour, we got a seat at 2:00PM. Waiter came at 2:10PM with menu card. At 2:20PM order was given for 5 Sharavana Special Thali's. Till 3:30, we did not get anything, even water, nor glasses were offered. We asked for food about 3 times in between. Finally, 3 Thali's came without Poori or Chapathi. Out of 3 Thali's, one Thali was incomplete with many missing items. Again waiting... The customer at other table, who came after us finished their food and left. Finally we went to the Manager and then the other 2 Thailis came after 10 mins. They gave 1 poori each, which finished in no time. Again tired of waiting for poori’s and again complained to the Manager. 2 poori's were granted to us again after 10 mins. Then again waiting... We asked for Chapathi.. Instead of giving Chapathi, rice was being offered to us again and again.. may be they wanted us to finish the food fast and pay the bill. After several requests, we got the Papad in the middle of the food and pickle was given at the end of the meal while we were having desert. Only 1 type of sabzi was given and rest all the items were filled with rasam & samber, without any trace of vegetables. Only watari samber was there and plus curd was given. Buttermilk was too watery & tasteless as if colour was added to water. No waiter to attend if we need anything.. Our Children were questioning us why we came to Sharavana. Potato sabzi was spoiled & smelt bad and we returned it. Finally we surprised when we got the bill, they charged us KD.1.900 per Thali instead of KD.1.250 as written on the Menu card. When we questioned, they said Friday Thali is special with many more items. But, we were not at all convinced, however did not wanted to argue and paid the bill. Finally we came out of the restaurent at 4:30PM and this delay was not for lunch, but for very poor and lousy service. Our full day was spoiled from 1:00PM till 4:30PM. contd...

Superb restaurant! I went from Salmiya to taste good south indian food, and i was not disappointed. Dosa, chutney, sambar all taste just like Chennai SaravanaBhavan. Prices also not costly, so it is good.
I heard from my colleagues that thali was very nice, only KD 1.250. I will go there on Friday to try it.

Went to Saravana Bhavan on Thursday, entire family enjoyed. Food taste was very good and priced reasonably. Kids had chinese items, my husband and I had doasas, vadas & mini idlis. Exact same taste as Chennai.
We liked the interiors a lot, it was very nice, probably one of the best looking Indian restaurants in Kuwait. Hope you open many more branches.

Shocked to see some comments complaining about the prices. Please check properly, the prices are lesser than other restaurants like Udipi International. Thali especially was great for the cost of 1.250. Good quality food, good ambiance and affordable, defintely the best Indian restaurant in Kuwait.

It is nice to read this message that Saravana

opened it branch in Kuwait. Sarvana is a

public accepted Restaurant in Chenni, India.

Is it the same management Or running by

Kuwait based indians. I was a regular visitor

of Udupi in City and Abbasiya, and forced to

stop it because of bad quality food.

I visited Udupi International. Thali on Friday is not worth enough for KWD.1.500

Hope, both will function for the interest of

Indian community in Kuwait.
