1. How good is the atmosphere?: Its average like any other Indian school.

2. How about the teachers and the teaching skill?: All teachers are housewives and thus posses not teaching skills. These teachers could not get the secretarial jobs in companies thus in Don Bosco School.

3. What about the homework load?: At par with any other school.

4. Fee structure?: Avearge and at par with other schools.

5. Advantages of the school?: Its near if you stay in Salmiya. Good in case you are Christian. Same culture will be maintained if you a Goan.

6. Disadvantages of the school?: Not fit for Hindus. Not fit for those who have high moral values in life. Not fit for girl students as there is one Arabic school next door where Arab students tease the girls.

Dear School Principal,

Thanks for your reply.

But in the disadvantage, you have put somehting which is right and needs to be listed in Advantage and that is:

You said that girls are not allowed in that school becuase next to that school is the Arab school where they tease the girls. So Don Bosco has made a good decision to not have girl in that school for all the girl's safety.

The atmosphere is very good. Every child is given a chance to speak and perform on the stage.

In ICSK, Carmel, IPS etc. very few children are given a chance to showcase their talents only if the child excels good in academics. Child may be an average in studies, that does not mean we must suppress their talents.

Each and every teacher is qualified to their post. All primary teachers have done their Montesary i.e. T.CH(including LKG/UKG) and Higher Primary B.Ed and M.Ed. If you ask for one of the students school calendar you will find the entire information about their teachers qualifications and it is not fake.

Fee structure is little higher than other schools.

Advantages of the school is that they have a very good counseling system for kids.

Disadvantage is too less space for playground (rather no play ground) and is close to the Arabic school.

It is a co-ed school (girls & boys)

Dear HSGG,

I never said that girls are barred from attending the school. I said that it is not fit for girls as there is an Arabic school in the vicinity and students from that Arabic school tease the girls.

One more point I forgot to mention is that in Don Bosco School, all other activities take place but studies.

Fake school principal, when you don't have clear picture about any school it is wrong on your part to mislead anyone.

From your post one can make out how good virtues and morals you can instill in your own child/ren.

Dear HSGG,

It seems that you are doing the survey of your school and getting the ratings. Now if you are getting negatives, what can then be done. Make it as a benchmarking vis-a-vis other schools and work on it. These are your KPIs.

You will get many opinions on your school. Both types. You select the best ones!!

School Principal,

Yes I want to check on this School cause I heard alot of good things, and I wanted to check with other members over here if they too have experience the same as I m interested to put my son in that school.

Looks like you have very less knowledge on this school. Little knowledge is dangerous.

I would like to thank "Parent" for the good replies and helping me make a good decision. Keep it up Parent.

Dear HSGG,
I pity for your logical approach. Just because Parents said few good points so you liked it. After all its human nature. You like what you want to hear. It means you are biased.

The facts I wrote are not just overheard in the city. The facts are well experimented and justified. My kid has spent good 2 years in that school and I had been monitoring the school from day 1.

After all its upto you to decide the school. Its your kid. You just asked others' opinion and which I gave.

To the school principal for your answer on 6th question:

6. Disadvantages of the school?: Not fit for Hindus. Not fit for those who have high moral values in life. Not fit for girl students as there is one Arabic school next door where Arab students tease the girls.

What do you mean by not fit for hindus??? What moral values hindus have in Kuwait or in India? if it is not fit for hindus, then why every year hundreds of hindus begging for a seat at that school? Is there any hindu school in Kuwait in that matter for hindus only? Why are u bringing religion in a simple discussion?

Frankly speak Mr. School Principal, I never hear of anything what you are saying. I know that the School is very good. Their only preferrence is to take the Christian first. But that doesnt mean that other religion are not allowed. Of course it is allowed. Just need a little luck cause I have heard many are on waiting list.

Thanks Dsouza, of trying to make Mr. School Principal understand. You said many things then why did you put your kid there. Think twice.

Dear D'Souza,
I think I hit your week point. It is pinching you, you being a Goan. You Goans have an open culture which very few people can tolerate and which is called moral values. Hindus are not that much opened thus this reply. There is no intention of dragging religion here but then it is an open fact why does this school prefer Christians students and teachers.

Dear HSGG,

I have since withdrawn my kid from this school.

You have full liberty to admit your kid any where. The comments are just my opinion and not at all binding on you. Even I have not met you so how does it matter to me whcih school you opt for. You wanted to know about this school and I told you what I felt. That does not mean you start fighting.

Well Mr. School Principal, Thanks for your advise.

I have decided what I have to do. 1 in 100s is not satisfied so its ok. I heard from my friends who have their kids studying there and till today they have no problems.

By the way I am not fighting.

I have come across mails regarding Don Bosco School, where people accuse the school authorities of being partial to Christians in general. I am a Hindu, whose child is studying in this prestigious institute. All the festivals regardless of whether it is a Christian, Muslim or Hindu one, are celebrated. Hindu and Muslim students are elected to be school leaders. The co,ordinator of the primary section is a Hindu. There is no partiality shown on the basis of religion. A person who calls himself as a "School Principal", even though he is not, should be questioned of his ethics. The Don Bosco school has such a wonderful person as its Principal.

Dear HSGG, I am a muslim and my 3 boys are studying in IEAS (Don Bosco School). First one is in the 4th grade, second in 3rd and little one is in UKG. I can afford to send them to Vidya Bhavan school but I like the teaching skills, perception and attitude of this school authorities.

All children are treated equally. There are children from different countries and they are well behaved than our Indians. This school has British standard teaching. My first son is studying in this school from his LKG. I too studied in priest school in India.

Very soon IEAS is going to use Smart Boards to interact with the primary school children, which none of the schools in Kuwait have this method. Not even British and American Schools.

It is not important how much you learn but it is how much you understand.

Dear HSGG

This is public forum. When you ask opinion of people on some issue, they will answer as per their own experience. You can not call some one neames because his answer is not what you want to hear. If that is the case do not ask others, do what you want by yourself.

Mr Fake Principal

Don Bosco's is one of the BEST institutes in Kuwait.

I don't have to share personal experiences on a public forum to prove the point.

I would suggest if anybody does not like it forget it :) simple

!! Don Bosco School the best !!
