this is not to hurt any particular community or section. just for a general discussion.
i am also a keralite, from the northern side, ie calicut districut.

i am going through IIK Classifieds for the pas 3 - 4 years! and recently i can see many House for sale (indian) advt coming on IIK.
surprisingly 98% of the house for sale advt appearing here are from Kerala. ie keralites want to sell their house. and surprisingly 99% of those advts are south keralites , ie ppl from kottayam, ernakulam, thiruvalla, etc area. i am also looking to buy a house in calicut, but no house for sale from our area coming up.

very few house for sale advt from goa,bangalore, pune etc. but 98% from kerala!

why its like this? is it bcoz Keralites failed in managing their savings?

I tried to find a reasonable one..no way..its all business.It is because they manage their finance very well.
