Companies failing to pay workers’ salary on time to face serious consequences

Private sector business owners and companies failing to pay workers’ monthly wages on time may face serious consequences, Acting Deputy Director of the Public Authority for Manpower for Workforce Protection Sector Affairs, Dr. Fahd Al-Murad said.

This violation can lead to the suspension of the employer’s file and allow workers to transfer to another employer, Al-Murad said during the Authority’s celebration of International Labor Day.

The Authority is focused on raising awareness among business owners and workers about their rights and obligations, he said while celebrating the International Labor Day at Avenues Mall.

What is the cut off date to be paid on a monthly basis. Like Salary should be paid by the 7th of every month or 1st of the month. There should be some timeline which should be followed and strict penalty should be in place.
