Take her to any fingerprint office esp. in evening time (after 5pm) and explain this to the police officer there. The officer will help you within a minute.

Before going to concerned place for fingerprints better check your wife''s fingerprint status with any private typing centers or govt authorised dealers for that type of works. cause some people fingerprints are already registered at the airport. otherwise we can check our fingerprint status in the kuwait mobile id application ..

You can do the family finger print without appointment ..and its not connected with BIO metric till now.so we have to do both for residency.

Hello
Are fingerprints for family visas and biometrics separate requirements that need to be done independently?

@HR - Yes, both of them are different. I will go to Mishref on Sunday without appointment and update here on the findings. Hopefully they will allow us.

Thank You @geo . I have visited Jawazat near jawazat round about today thinking that it is my local office for finger print as my address on Civil ID is in Bneid Al Qar. They told that they don''''t do finger print there and asked me to visit Mishref by taking an appointment. Not sure if people in Mishref office will allow us or not for finger print without appointment.

SK, In which terminal were your family arriving? The biometric fingerprint in airport is open for everybody or it''s only for the newcomers with dependent visa?

@Ikaz - We came through Kuwait Airlines terminal, the bio metric is open for every one and its mandatory for new comers with dependent visa. The immigration officer will ask you to go to room no 2 to get the biometric done once he stamps on the passport.

@SK My wife took fingerprint in the airport upon arrival. After that we go to Ahmadi Fingerprint office for fingerprint for residency bcs people said here that biometric and residency is different thing. On the fingerprint office, the officer said that my wife''s fingerprint data is already on the system, does it mean that both biometric and residency fingerprint is just the same?

Dear SK If done Biometric in airport, no need to do again but they have to link that biometric to residency dept , so than only possible to make Residency stamping, For that you have take your wife with original visa in morning time to finger print office asper your civil id address area and meet manager. for this process take 1to 2min only. He will take visa and link in their system than return to you. At the same time you can make it stamping in Sahel immediately if medical fit and insurance paid means.

Thank You All for all the help. Finally, we visited Mishref Finger print office and then the guard was not allowing us as we don''t have apointment, I told him its for Residency Iqama, post which he allowed us in. They at the reception the police officer directly asked me to "Get out and come tomorrow early morning" I requested him 3-4 times and he was very rude, then I directly by-passed him and went to meet the officer in charge in that building and explained the scenario. He then politely directed us to a room in which one of the employees took my wife''s visa and updated the finger prints for residency and then I have visited Jawajat to apply for Iqama. I have just completed the "First Time Registration of Family Members" in Sahel app and waiting for the details to get updated in order to pay for CIVIL ID.

@Tratak - Yes, you can pay for insurance as soon as you receive your medical result as WORTHY. Also, there is no need to for extra residency finger prints if Biometric is done from the airport after reaching Kuwait. Just visit any of the nearest Biometric Centers with the Original visa and ask them to link your finger prints for IQAMA, this can be done in 1-2 mins. If the guard standing outside doesn''t allow you inside without appointment, then tell them that its for IQAMA, directly go to the Major in that office and tell him, they will help. .

Hi , I recently bought my wife to kuwait on dependant visa, for finger print i went to Mishref and did not need an appointment just told the officer at the entrance that my wife had already done the biometric at the airport , they let us in where another officer at the desk took the visa and checked it and after 15 min called us back to the desk saying her data is updated in the system and told us to go for Iqama process.
